
Program Support Assistant
Competencies
Summary/Objective
The Program Support Assistant is responsible for answering phone calls and greeting customers that visit the assigned office. Acts as an additional support for local Program Leader and other program staff.
Essential Functions
- Answers incoming calls for the main office line to provide program information, answer inquiries and satisfactory customer service
- Acts as the first point of contact for clients and visitors when entering the office
- Secures confidential customer files and information
- Responsible for the maintenance of office supplies and equipment
Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs
- 1-2 years of call center service or administrative support experience
- Communication skills that lend themselves to building effective relationships with colleagues and clients
- Experience working with diverse, at risk, and vulnerable populations
- Works well independently and as a team member
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a sedentary role with a need to perform clerical and administrative duties in a physical office.
Hours of Work
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, Part-time 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Reporting Relationships
Reports to the Program Manager and works in collaboration with E&ES staff. Will also maintain positive relationships with funding sources and partner agencies.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
